PARKER WOOD DDS

" I am here to serve you and help you. What questions or concerns can I answer?"
I grew up in Corvallis, OR where my dad had a dental practice. In high school I played football and tennis. I attended college at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where I met my wife. I went to dental school at Creighton University, which is the same school my father attended. While in school my wife and I had our three kids.
MY DENTAL STORY
Why Did You Choose Dentistry?
I grew up around dentistry my entire life with my father and uncle being dentists and my grandfather being an orthodontist. It feels like home to me. My inspiration came from seeing a young girl my father saw as an emergency patient on the weekend whom I was able to follow with him over many years.. She was kicked in the face by a horse and I was ultimately able to see her several times while working in the office over the next 10 years and saw her through definitive treatment. It showed me what type of person I wanted to be in dentistry.
What is the Best Part of Your Job?
Getting to know every person and their life stories while helping them progress on their own dental path.

What do you do outside of the office?
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, fishing, mountain biking. I love any sports, especially sports with a racquet
Who is your hero?
My father – Been an example of leadership, love, passion in dentistry and empathy for any person that crosses his path
What was the best day of your life and why?
The day I was accepted to dental school changed my life. I still remember that day and have the email saved on December 1, 2014. I have worked diligently to make that dream a reality since I was a kid and it was finally going to become a reality.
What flavour ice cream would you be?
Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream 🙂

" I love working with people and using my skills to help them feel comfortable in the dental chair knowing they are being well taken care of."
Having grown up on the small island of Melbourne Beach, Florida, with a population of 3,000, Dr. Hansen loves life in a small town. She fell in love with Washington when she lived in Camas for a time and is excited to be back. In fact, her love for our state is so strong that she and her husband, Jared, were married at sunset on the top of a mountain in the Olympic National Park. In addition to her love of the outdoors, Dr. Hansen enjoys reading books, taking road trips, hiking, and backpacking with her husband and dog Dingo. It has been Dr. Hansen’s dream to work in a small town and be an important part of the community. She loves dentistry, helping and working with people, and making patients feel comfortable.
