PARKER WOOD, DDS

" I am here to serve you and help you. What questions or concerns can I answer?"
I grew up in Corvallis, OR where my dad had a dental practice. In high school I played football and tennis. I attended college at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where I met my wife. I went to dental school at Creighton University, which is the same school my father attended. While in school my wife and I had our three kids.
MY DENTAL STORY
Why Did You Choose Dentistry?
I grew up around dentistry my entire life with my father and uncle being dentists and my grandfather being an orthodontist. It feels like home to me. My inspiration came from seeing a young girl my father saw as an emergency patient on the weekend whom I was able to follow with him over many years.. She was kicked in the face by a horse and I was ultimately able to see her several times while working in the office over the next 10 years and saw her through definitive treatment. It showed me what type of person I wanted to be in dentistry.
What is the Best Part of Your Job?
Getting to know every person and their life stories while helping them progress on their own dental path.

What do you do outside of the office?
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, fishing, mountain biking. I love any sports, especially sports with a racquet.
What was the best day of your life and why?
The day I was accepted to dental school changed my life. I still remember that day and have the email saved on December 1, 2014. I have worked diligently to make that dream a reality since I was a kid and it was finally going to become a reality.
Who is your hero?
My father – Been an example of leadership, love, passion in dentistry and empathy for any person that crosses his path.

Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream :).
Edward Hardy, DDS

"I enjoy gaining patients' trust, so I can help them overcome these barriers and smile again."
I grew up and studied in Lincoln, Nebraska. I attended Union College and then the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.
MY DENTAL STORY
Why Did You Choose Dentistry?
I was born with a rare disorder that caused my teeth to be weak, and I got to know my childhood dentist and orthodontist very well. During the time spent at their clinics, I was always impressed by their kindness. As I considered plans for the future, I knew I wanted to do something that allowed me to solve problems and use my creative skills for the benefit of others. At the same time, my family was encouraging me to consider the healthcare field. For these reasons, I decided to pursue dentistry as a career.
What is the Best Part of Your Job?
I find joy in helping my patients overcome physical or mental barriers, especially if these are barriers I have also struggled with. Dental medicine, at its core, is a relationship between the patient and their care providers. Within that relationship, there is trust, and within that trust is vulnerability and an opportunity for positive change.

What do you do outside of the office?
I enjoy camping and exploring the great outdoors with my beautiful wife, Cheyenne. We also love to travel and try new restaurants. I go fishing with my Grandpa in Oregon and spend time with my family and friends. I regularly pick up new hobbies – most recently, flying.
How long have you been in Dental Medicine?
I’ve been practicing dentistry in a clinical setting for two years and have been brushing my teeth since childhood!
What is a Fun Fact about yourself that you would like to share?
I can play the cello. I have been paragliding in Turkey. I ride a motorcycle.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?
My dad and I have always wanted to go on a motorcycle trip across a different country because it would be a fun adventure meeting new people, seeing incredible landscapes, traveling with a reputable motorcycle touring company, trying new foods, and of course, spending time together doing something we both love. We most often talk about crossing Australia or Thailand.
